Bean bag multiplication facts

Equipment list

Number bean bags

Clipboards (optional)

Sheets of paper (optional)

Pencils (optional)

Explanation

Divide class into colour teams.

Each team sends a runner to the middle of the activity area to pick up a 2-digit number bean bag and return to their team. The 2-digit number they took is considered the product (answer) and the team has to think of 2 factors to multiply to get the number on the beanbag. For example, if the student picked “42” the team member could write down 6 x 7 = 42.
