Estimation / Rounding with Dodgeball

Explanation

The activity starts with 2 color teams, (red and blue), on one side of the area of play, and the 2 other color teams, (yellow and green), on the other side. Students practice estimating and rounding by 10's,100's and 1000's. If a student is hit in the dodgeball game, they return to their team and answer a question. Every 5 minutes, the game is stopped, and all students return to answer questions even if a student hasn’t been hit by a dodgeball. This gives all students an opportunity to answer questions.

This is a very active class. The kids will work up a sweat and really enjoy this activity.
